Mikaela is currently pursuing her master’s in marine ecology at San Diego State University. Her thesis focuses on an Integrated Multi trophic aquaculture system at Hubbs with white seabass and three commercially important seaweeds, exploring the effects of aeration and flow rate on the cultivation of seaweeds within this system. In addition, she is involved with her SDSU labs kelp forest restoration on Catalina Island. She is looking forward to continuing her work with seaweeds and invertebrates.
