Matthew Elliott is a Research Manager specializing in sustainable seaweed and echinoderm aquaculture. He holds a Master of Science in Marine Science from Moss Landing Marine Labs, where he studied nutrient physiology and macroalgae cultivation techniques. His expertise includes integrated multi-trophic aquaculture (IMTA), kelp propagation, microalgae and macroalgae cultivation, echinoderm cultivation, and nutrient dynamics in marine systems to enhance the growth and quality of cultured species. Matthew is committed to developing scalable aquaculture methods that advance coastal restoration, sustainable seafood production, and climate resilience in California. He recently published research in Aquaculture demonstrating how warty sea cucumbers can efficiently utilize white seabass wastes, supporting the development of sustainable IMTA systems.
