Rebecca Gentry, PhD, Affiliated Research Scientist. Rebecca has over 15 years of experience working in the fields of aquaculture, fisheries, ecology, and conservation. Her multidisciplinary research focuses primarily on marine aquaculture development, specifically on the incentives and constraints (both ecological and socio-economic) that influence expansion of the industry. Additionally, she is involved in research to investigate how marine aquaculture can best be integrated into spatial management of the oceans, considering both its impact on marine ecosystems and potential to complement conservation objectives. Rebecca has worked both in academic research and marine policy in the US and New Zealand.
